Chinese Song Contest
Theme: CHINESE DREAM INSPIRED BY THE SILK ROAD
In order to arouse Ghanaians’ interest in the teaching and learning of the Chinese language and culture in Ghana, the Confucius Institute at the University of Ghana will hold a Chinese song contest on October 27th on the theme “Chinese Dream Inspired by the Silk Road”. Details are as follows:
I. Contestants:
Non- Chinese (People of other nationalities)
II. Rules of the contest:
1) Contestants can only sing Chinese songs.
2) Sole contest or a group of no more than three
3) Judgment will be based on the items shown in the table below:

III. Contest procedures:
1) Register before midnight on October 15th.
2) The preliminary contest will be held on October 20th to select 12 contestants for the finals.
3) The finalists should prepare at least two Chinese songs together with instrumentals, and submit both to the Confucius Institute for approval before midnight on October 25th. Each contestant’s songs for the first and second rounds should be different.
4) There will be one first prize winner, two second prize winners, three third prize winners and six consolatory prize winners as well as one popularity prize winner. The winners will receive certificates and awards.

Preliminary Contest: October 20th, 2017
Final Contest: October 27th, 2017
