2nd Annual International Research Conference 2018
Date: 4th-5th October 2018
Venue: Great Hall, University of Ghana, Legon.
Time: 9am each day
The proliferation of information digital technologies in the 21st century is overwhelming. Digital devices and mediated systems of communication have been helpful and accessible for everyone. Nonetheless, the connection between these digital technologies and ageing has been largely neglected. Most elderly people prefer conventional methods of communicating than being engaged in the new trend.
Given that the subject of ageing and technology is central to healthy ageing, steps must be taken to understand the influence of technology in this modern era and how it can be adopted in the lives of the aged to promote healthy ageing.
The goal of the conference is to engage academics, stakeholders, policy makers, NGOs, older adults and the general public in a dialogue and research on the use of digital technology for the aged.
