UNIVERSITY OF GHANA @ 75 CELEBRATION SPORTS GAMES WITH THE CENTRE FOR AGEING STUDIES

As part of the celebration of UG@75, the Sports Directorate, University of Ghana, Legon organized a two-day sports event in which the Centre for Ageing Studies (CFAS) participated. The Centre for Ageing Studies invited 30 older persons from Visionary Elderly Home to participate in the event. The sports event which was held on Friday 21^st July 2023 saw many participants from various Departments in the University.

The older persons engaged in activities such as playing cards, ludo and oware. They also took part in cheering on other participants during the football match and the hundred-meter race.  During their lunch break some older persons interacted with other participants at the venue. The event came to an end after a prayer from Dr. Akosua Agyemang.
