Rev Dr. Ayete-Nyampong’s presentation offered a general overview on Ageing and demographics on older persons. He then went on to discuss what constitutes prime life achievements of women and the woes women face as they get older, specifically Ghanaian women.

From this presentation, it was seen that Ghanaian women over the years have proven to be vital pivots in the progression of society and the country at large. Instances were given as to how different Ghanaian women had changed the course of their families based on certain bold steps, they had taken to hold relevant positions in the country,

Some examples given were Ghanaian women who had made great strides in academia, politics, career, religion etc

The second part of this presentation identified the issues some Ghanaian women face in their old age, especially their woes. Rev Dr. Ayete-Nyampong stated that some of these women having achieved a lot in their prime and being so influential, endured entirely a changed story in their old age. Some of them are regarded as witches, especially if they lived long whilst the younger ones are rather dying early in their families. He shared some examples of real life instances of some older women he had encountered who had been neglected in their old age after they have given so much to society.
