AREN 603: Agro Hydrology

This course will introduce students to the hydrologic cycle, the global water budget, and Ghana’s water budget. It will cover catchment hydrology involving stream patterns and description of the basin. Also to be introduced will be stream flow measurement: measurement of stage, discharge measurement by (area-velocity method, moving-boat method, and by other methods).  Through this course students’ knowledge in stage discharge relations, extension of the rating curve, selection of a stream gauging site, and stream gauging network will be enhanced.
