About
Prof. John Kwame Boateng is an Associate Professor of Development Education at the University of Ghana, currently serving on a post-retirement contract. He is an accomplished academic, researcher, and consultant with interdisciplinary expertise in education, social sciences, and technology integration. His scholarship focuses on development education, lifelong learning, sustainable community development, social justice, and technology-enhanced learning.
Prof. Boateng holds a PhD in Agricultural and Extension Education with a minor in Demography and an MS in Horticulture from The Pennsylvania State University, an MBA in Project Management from the University of Ghana Business School, an MSc in Land and Water Management from the University of Nairobi, and a BSc (Hons) in Agriculture (Crop Science) from the University of Ghana.
His extensive research and publications, spanning education, sustainability, and the intersection of technology and adult learning have appeared in leading outlets such as Routledge, Springer, Palgrave Macmillan, and Nova Science Publishers. Prof. Boateng has also contributed to high-impact projects with UNESCO, the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada, and the Global Bioethics Initiative.
With a strong commitment to mentorship, research leadership, and capacity building, he actively fosters innovation, knowledge transfer, and strategic partnerships that drive sustainable solutions to societal challenges.
