Vice-Chancellor Inspires Emerging Women Leaders at KAIPTC

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Nana Aba Appiah Amfo, honoured an invitation to share her leadership journey at the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC) during the Women Leadership in Law Enforcement Course, organised in partnership with the German Government.

The programme brought together dynamic and inspiring women from Ghana, Sierra Leone, Liberia, The Gambia, Nigeria, South Africa, and Zambia, all committed to strengthening leadership, accountability, and service in their respective institutions and countries.

During her engagement, Professor Amfo shared insights on how leadership journeys often begin, how women can overcome self-doubt and societal limitations, and the crucial role of mentorship in shaping purposeful and impactful leadership. She further highlighted the importance of authenticity, empathy, and resilience as the values that sustain effective and humane leadership.

The Vice-Chancellor commended the participants for their dedication to making a difference in their fields and communities, describing their passion and determination as inspiring and a testament to the promising future of leadership in Africa.

Professor Amfo expressed her sincere appreciation to Ms. Sylvia Horname Noagbesenu for the invitation and for moderating the session with skill and warmth. She concluded by emphasizing that mentorship is not merely a duty but a privilege that keeps leadership human, grounded, and hopeful.
