Vice-Chancellor Prof. Nana Aba Appiah Amfo Featured in DAAD@100 Centenary Series

Vice-Chancellor Professor Nana Aba Appiah Amfo, a distinguished DAAD alumna, has been featured in the DAAD@100 Centenary Series, marking 100 years of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) in Ghana and Germany.

In the interview with Gemma Pörzgen of DAAD, Prof. Amfo reflected on her inspiring journey as the first woman to lead Ghana’s premier university, highlighting the optimism and hope her appointment in 2021 brought to young women across Ghana and beyond. She emphasized the significance of women’s representation in leadership, the value of inclusive, human-centred leadership, and the transformative role of international partnerships in advancing higher education.

Prof. Amfo also shared her vision for the University of Ghana, her leadership philosophy, and how international exchange continues to promote academic excellence and empower women in research and administration.
