Brief History

The department of Teacher Education, University of Ghana was established in 2014 with recognition by Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) in 2015 after the department has fulfilled the relevant requirements. The first batch of undergraduate students of the department graduated in 2020.

The department is currently located in the Old Law School Building. The department is currently planning to establish a Seminar Room, Counselling/Psychological Resource Centre, ICT Resource Centre, and STEM Resource Centre.
