Beckwith International Leadership Development (BILD), Ghana

BILD Ghana is one of the programmes of the Sports Directorate which was established and launched in 2010. By the end of 2012 had expanded its programmes to seven of the ten regions in Ghana. The BILD Ghana programme is funded by TOP Foundation of the United Kingdom and supported by UK Sport. BILD Ghana aims to teach leadership and life essential skills by engaging children and the youth of Ghana through sport. BILD Ghana has the following objectives:

To facilitate leadership training of young people/leaders through sport
To touch lives of children through events organised by trained young leaders
To develop the capacity of teachers, coaches, community leaders, volunteers to enable them to provide high quality leadership training to young people
To create path ways and opportunities for young people and adults to develop and use new skills to support them in their schools, communities and working lives.
