UG Inter-Hall Games to Commence on 2nd March, 2022

The University of Ghana Inter-Hall Games makes a return after two years break due to restrictions imposed by government on team sports, following the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. The 2021/2022 Inter-Hall Games starts from 2nd to 15th March, 2022.

Participating Teams, Disciplines & Format of Play

All Seventeen (17) Halls of Residence will participate in Badminton, Basketball, Beach Volleyball, Football, Goalball, Handball, Hockey, Netball, Table Tennis, Tennis and Volleyball. 

With the exception of Hockey fixtures which will be all play all, the fixtures for the other disciplines will be a knockout one with the winner of each fixture progressing to the next stage of the Games.

Platform for Selection for UG Teams

The Inter-Hall Games serves as a platform for selecting student athletes into the various UG Teams, to represent the University at national and international competitions such as the Ghana University Sports Association (GUSA) Games which will be held at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi this year, and participation in Regional Leagues.

Live updates will be provided on all social media handles of the Sports Directorate (Instagram & Twitter: sports_ug; Facebook: UG Sports Directorate) and website (ug.edu.gh/sports/).

Radio Univers (105.7 FM) and other media partners will give updates on the Inter-Hall Games.
