Welcome to the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, School of Pharmacy. The Department offers training in pharmacology and toxicology to both undergraduate and post-graduate students. This training is to enable students acquire skills in research, regulatory, industrial, and healthcare delivery. Students of Schools and Departments that take courses in pharmacology and toxicology include Pharmacy, Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Nursing and Midwifery, Biomedical and Allied Health Science, Physiotherapy and Dietetics. Our faculty (administrative home) is the School of Pharmacy, University of Ghana, Legon, whiles our research laboratories are at the School of Biomedical and Allied Health Sciences, Korle-Bu. This strategic positioning of the Department enables opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration at both campuses. The Department has highly qualified lecturers and researchers in diverse areas of pharmacology and toxicology, profiles of which are indicated also on website. We hope that our web site will give adequate information on all that there is to know about research and educational opportunities at the Department.
