Mr. Emmanuel Baidoo Assumes Office as Deputy Registrar for the Office of the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research, Innovation and Development)

The University of Ghana has appointed Mr. Emmanuel Baidoo as the new Deputy Registrar and Administrator for the Office of the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research, Innovation and Development). He officially assumed office on 1st August 2026.

Mr. Baidoo succeeds Mrs. Cynthia Adu, who has been transferred to the Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research following her service to the Office.

A highly experienced university administrator, Mr. Baidoo brings over two decades of leadership and administrative experience in higher education. He rejoins the University of Ghana after serving as Registrar of the Ghana Communication Technology University from 2022 to 2026, during a leave of absence from the University.

Over the course of his career at the University of Ghana, Mr. Baidoo has held several key administrative positions, including College Secretary of the College of Basic and Applied Sciences, and has contributed to the work of numerous statutory and ad hoc committees. His experience in university governance, strategic administration, and institutional management positions him well to support the University's research, innovation and development agenda.
