The Master of Arts (M.A.) programme is designed to provide functional legal training to persons without a background in law, equipping them with knowledge and skills to navigate relevant work-related legal and other regulatory situations and providing opportunities and substantive training to engage in postgraduate research.   

The Master of Laws (LL.M.) programme provides specialized legal training to persons with previous legal backgrounds, equipping them with knowledge and skills to navigate relevant work-related legal and other regulatory situations. These programmes additionally provide opportunities and substantive training to engage in postgraduate research.

The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) is a research-intensive degree and the most advanced degree offered by the University of Ghana School of Law. The programme provides advanced training for scholars to deepen and broaden their understanding of Law. The programme is designed to transform these scholars into producers of knowledge, capable of expanding the frontiers of the law to achieve policy goals and sustainable development.
