h1The Department of Pharmacy Practice & Clinical Pharmacy at the School of Pharrmacy, UG is dedicated to shaping the future of healthcare by advancing patient-centered pharmaceutical care through relevant teaching, innovative research and impactful community service.
Teaching in the department covers didatic courses in areas such as Chemical Pathology, Pharmacotherapy, Pharmacoepidemiology, Pharmacoecomics, Pharmacokinetics, Pharmacogenomics, Logistics and Supply chain management, Communication skills, Law and ethics, Leadership, Emergency Care among others. The Department is responsible for the skills laboratory and model pharmacy in the School of Pharmacy which is used in the delivery of practical and experential courses.
Through our experential learning model, the department possesses strong collaborations with pharmacy partners in the hospital, community, industry, policy and regulatory sector to expose students to real world pharmacy practice environments. 
By integrating research with practice, the department contributes to innovations in pharmacy education and policy, patient care, and health service delivery. Faculty members are actively engaged in research, with expertise spanning medication safety and adherence, mental health, antimicrobial stewardship, chronic disease management, pharmacy education and health policy.  
Beyond academics, we engage with our community through health outreach programmes, health screening and educational workshops on relevant health issues to ensure our impact extends to the larger society.
The Department of Pharmacy Practice & Clinical pharmacy remains commited to its mission to prepare pharmacists with the knowledge, skills, and professional values needed in pharmacy practice, conduct innovative research and engage widely with our community to meet the evolving healthcare needs of society, both locally and globally.
