The Management of Volta Hall on the evening of Friday, 11th May, 2018 organized an Academic Awards and Leavers’ Dinner to recognize and reward the excellent academic achievements of students of the Hall and also to bid farewell to final year students.

In her welcome address, the Warden, Mrs. Christy Badu, said the ceremony which was instituted a few years ago is held annually to recognize academic excellence and other achievements of students of the Hall, as well as to bid farewell to the final year students of the Hall as they prepare to leave the walls of the Hall and the University to enter the world of work.

The academic awards for the 2016/2017 academic year, she said, were sponsored mainly by Fellows of the Hall and the Alumnae Association of Volta Hall.  She appealed for more financial assistance and sponsorship, to enable Volta Hall continue to carry on with this laudable activity on an annual basis.  This she said, would serve as an incentive to spur the ladies of the Hall on to achieve excellence in all fields of endeavour, especially in their academic work.
