Vice-Chancellor Visits College Of Health Sciences

Professor Ebenezer Oduro Owusu

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ghana, Professor Ebenezer Oduro Owusu, has made a familiarization visit to the College of Health Sciences, on the Korle-Bu Campus.

The visit was the Vice-Chancellor’s first to the Korle Bu Campus since assuming office in August last year. He was accompanied by the Pro-Vice Chancellors, Academic and Student Affairs (Prof. Kwame Offei) and Research, Innovation and Development (Prof. Francis Dodoo), the Provost of the College of Basic and Applied Sciences (CBAS) Prof. D.K. Asiedu, the Acting Provost of the College of Education (Prof. Michael Tagoe), and the Director of Finance, Mr. Richard Boapea.

The Vice-Chancellor said his visit was to get to interact with the employees and students of the College and to learn at first hand the challenges they were facing.  He held separate meetings with the Provost, Deans and Directors of the College, employees and students.

The various groups presented their challenges and difficulties they were facing to the Vice-Chancellor. The Vice-Chancellor assured all of the University’s support in finding a lasting solution to the challenges and urged them all to continue to work hard to enable the University achieve greater laurels.

The Provost of the College, Rev. Prof. Patrick F. Ayeh-Kumi thanked the Vice- Chancellor for taking time of out of his busy schedule to visit the Korle-Bu Campus of the University.
