University of Ghana Receives Delegation from University of Southampton

A delegation from the University of Southampton has paid a courtesy call on the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ebenezer Oduro Owusu, as part of their two-day collaborative visit to the University of Ghana. The delegation was made up of Prof. Themis Prodromakis, Professor of Nanotechnology and Director, Centre for Electronics Frontiers, University of Southampton and Mrs. Maria K. Norton, Senior International Partnerships Manager, University of Southampton.

Introducing the purpose of the visit, Prof. Anthony Andrew Adjei, Chairman, Vice-Chancellor’s Strategic Team, noted that the visit was to create a deepening and broadening of positive collaboration to benefit both Universities.

In brief a remark, Prof. Themis Prodromakis expressed his delight to collaborate with the University and was hopeful for the best in that regard.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ebenezer Oduro Owusu, on his part, expressed gratitude to the delegation for the visit. He was optimistic that the partnership will result in mutually beneficial research and educational objectives.

The Vice-Chancellor later presented souvenirs to members of the delegation.

Present at the meeting were Prof. Francis Dodoo, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Research, Innovation and Development; Prof. Daniel Asiedu, Provost, College of Basic and Applied Sciences; Prof. Patrick F. Ayeh-Kumi, Provost, College of Health Sciences and Dr. Ibrahim Bedi, Director, Internal Audit.
