The Committee, chaired by Prof. Eric Y. The Committee has the mandate to explore the academic mobility, visibility, University collaboration, regionalisation and recruitment of international students, and to develop a strategy to drive the work and life of faculty, staff and students at the University.

In her introductory address, the Vice-Chancellor indicated that it was important for the University to be more deliberate, consistent and process- oriented when it comes to internationalisation. Therefore, having an internationalisation strategy document would promote the University’s internationalisation efforts. She added that the University’s vision to become a world-class research-intensive university requires a University community that has a global outlook. She acknowledged the presence of the Provosts and Deans at the meeting as they would be leading the implementation process of the UG Internationalisation strategy.
