The delegation was received by members of the family, including Mr. Kwamina Laing, son of the late Professor.

While consoling the bereaved family, the Vice Chancellor spoke of the enduring legacy Prof. Laing had left, essentially contributions he made to the growth of his discipline and his ability to relate well with various categories of the community, both young and old.  He added that the impact Prof. Laing made on members of the University community was exemplary.  The Vice Chancellor mentioned that since Prof. Laing’s death was announced, there has been a record number of tributes that have come from members of the community on the university email platform, which he described as unprecedented in recent times.
