Tobinco Group of Companies supports Construction of New UGMS Clinic

A sod-cutting ceremony has been held for the construction of a three-storey building to house the University of Ghana Medical School (UGMS) clinic and a lecture hall, to help reduce the UG Medical School's student-infrastructure deficit. The Tobinco Group of Companies is funding the construction.

Speaking at the event, the Dean for UGMS, Professor Alfred Yawson expressed his delight at the project as it will replace the current clinic which is housed in an outdated wooden structure, that is not befitting of the stature of the School. Professor Yawson went on to unveil a 3D rendering of the building complex.
