Student Online Academic Complaint Platform Launched

A student online academic complaint platform has been launched by the Pro-Vice Chancellor (ASA), Prof. Nana Aba Appiah Amfo, on Friday 12th February 2021 via Zoom. The platform is intended to serve as the University’s online portal for receiving and addressing students’ academic challenges within five working days. This is a break from the past when students had to write letters of complaint to their Heads of Department, Deans or Provosts.

The Ag. Director of Academic Affairs, Mrs. Christy Badu, expressed appreciation to the office and staff of the Pro-Vice Chancellor (ASA), academic officers, and the Public Affairs Directorate for their input in creating the portal.

In a brief statement, the Academic Head of the Student Representative Council, Mr. Abdul Salam, lauded the creation of the platform by Management of the University and advised the students to take full advantage of it.

Mr. Patrick Kuti of the UGCS demonstrated the use of the portal and answered questions during a Q&A session from students and faculty. Students were also given the opportunity to test the portal to know how the platform works.

In her closing remarks, the Pro-Vice Chancellor (ASA) assured students that the platform will be continually updated and improved upon with their feedback. She further urged students not to abuse the portal.
