SFAO Receives Donation From Ghana Reinsurance Company Limited

The Students Financial Aid Office (SFAO) has received a donation of GH₵10, 000 from Ghana Reinsurance Company Limited (Ghana Re). The ceremony saw seven other institutions, including the College of Health Sciences of the University of Ghana receive donations as well.

Mr. Gustave Siale, Managing Director of Ghana Reinsurance Company Limited

The Managing Director of Ghana Reinsurance Company Limited, Mr. Gustave Siale, noted that the donation forms part of the Corporate Social Responsibility of the company. He expressed his company’s concern about the health and education sectors, which he noted play critical roles in the development of the nation. 

He emphasised that, without the proper health care and education of individuals, there will be a decline in the nation’s development, adding that their priority is to help improve education and health in institutions and the nation as a whole.

The Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. James Adomako and the Head of the SFAO, Mrs. Christine Banning received the donation on behalf of the University.

Prof.  Yao Tettey, Provost of the College of Health Sciences

The Provost of the College of Health Sciences, Prof Yao Tettey, thanked the Company for the donation on behalf of the beneficiary institutions. He was especially grateful for the support of Ghana Re to individuals who did not have the funds for their education.
