Professor Austin Emielu Donates to School of Performing Arts

The School of Performing Arts has taken delivery of a set of library books from Professor Austin Emielu, a Visiting Scholar at the School. The books were received by Professor Kofi Agyekum, Acting Dean of the School of Performing Arts, in the company of Ms. Araba Nketseaba Nunoo, School Administrator and Mr. Mawuli Gbesemete, Senior Library Assistant.

Professor Emielu who made the donation said, he was motivated to give back to the University by adding to the stock at the School of Performing Arts Library. He encouraged his students particularly, Graduate students, to patronize the School Library which has a very conducive reading environment.

Some of the books donated include ‘Gods and Ancestors’, ‘Chanting Down Babylon’, ‘American History through Music’, ‘Africa and the Blues’,’ Exploring Music’ among others.

The Senior Library Assistant in response to the kind gesture acknowledged that the books donated are very relevant to the programmes run by the School.

Professor Kofi Agyekum, expressed appreciation to Professor Emielu on behalf of the School and promised the books would be kept in good condition and put to good use by faculty and students alike.
