To Climax 10th Anniversary Celebration
The School of Pharmacy, University of Ghana, climaxes its 10th Anniversary in the months of November and December. This celebration is in partnership with the Chamber of Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana and Graphic Business.
The Anniversary Planning Committee, under the chairmanship of Prof. Alexander Nii Oto Dodoo, has announced a number of activities to climax the anniversary. These are a Community Health Outreach, Pharm Fair/Exhibition, Business Forum/Symposium, Dinner and Awards Night. The Community Health Outreach will be held on Saturday, 2nd December, 2017 at James Town, Accra. The outreach will have free medical consultation and distribution of medication, general health screening, health talk and counselling.
There will be series of activities to take place at Movenpick Ambassador Hotel, Accra in December 2017; Pharm Fair/Exhibition for pharmaceutical companies, a Public Lecture and Business Forum/Symposium on the theme “Bridging the gap between academia and pharmaceutical industry”. This will bring together Deans of the various Schools of Pharmacy in Ghana, industry players and regulators. The Anniversary Celebration will be climaxed by a Dinner and Awards Night during which awards will be given to individuals who have played key roles in the inception of the School of Pharmacy, University of Ghana, in addition to excellence awards for deserving staff of the School. Awards will also recognize excellence within the pharmaceutical industry.
For the Pharmaceutical Industry Awards, companies are being invited to send in their nominations. Nominations are opened until close of day, 1st December, 2017.
The award categories include Excellence in: Formulation, Analysis, Testing and quality control, Packaging, Supplies and distribution, Innovation and technology, Contract services and outsourcing, Customer service, Regulatory procedures and compliance, and Corporate social responsibility. Other awards include; CEO of the year, Company of the year, Product of the year, Life time achievement award, Sustainability initiative of the year, Personality of the year, Retailer of the year, Entrepreneur of the year, Exporter of the Year, Manufacturing company of the year, Promising Company of the Year, Promising CEO of the Year, Promising Entrepreneur of the Year, Brand of the year, Herbal company of the year, Promising herbal company of the year, Herbal product of the year, Insurance provider of the year, Financial service provider of the year, Logistics service provider of the year and Consultancy service of the year.
