Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research Receives Donation from Intravenous Infusions Limited

Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research (NMIMR) has received one million litres of IV fluids donation from Intravenous Infusions Limited to support the fight against COVID-19.

Mr. Samuel Appenteng, Director of Intravenous Infusions Limited, who made the donation on behalf of the company, applauded the Institute for their commitment and dedication to combating the spread of the novel coronavirus.

According to Mr. Appenteng, upon hearing the news that the Institute needed 176,000 litres of IV fluids from June to August 2020, the Directors of the company after deliberations decided to donate one million litres of IV fluids to last from now till December. This he noted was to encourage the workers to effectively discharge their duties. He finally pledged his outfit’s continuous support for the Institute whenever the need arises.

Receiving the items, Professor Abraham Kwabena Anang, Director, NMIMR commended Intravenous Infusions for the generosity and expressed the hope that the donation would go a long way to aid the Institute in their efforts towards combating the spread of the pandemic.

Present at the ceremony was the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ebenezer Oduro Owusu, Provost of the College of Health Sciences, Rev. Prof. Patrick F. Ayeh-Kumi, officials and staff from Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research and Intravenous Infusions Limited.
