MTN Ghana Pledges Support for the Implementation of Vice-Chancellor's Digitalisation Project

MTN Ghana has promised to support the implementation of the digitalisation project initiated by the Vice-Chancellor. This was announced when the Chief Enterprise Business Officer of MTN Ghana, Mr. Samuel Addo, led a team from MTN to pay a courtesy call on the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Nana Aba Appiah Amfo. The purpose of the visit was to explore ways of collaborating with the University to enhance students' experience through digitalisation.

Prof. Nana Aba Appiah Amfo welcomed the team and expressed her delight and appreciation for the visit. She disclosed that in order for the plan on digitalisation to be realised, it would be necessary to partner with institutions and organisations such as MTN Ghana. Prof. Amfo noted that to succeed in this collaborative venture, it is crucial for MTN Ghana and the University to be guided by a stipulated plan.

In brief remarks, Mr. Addo stated that the Vice-Chancellor’s digitalisation project was timely and assured the University of the commitment of MTN Ghana to the implementation of all the three key initiatives, namely: Classroom modernisation, One student one laptop and Hot-spot comfort zones. He reiterated the need to establish strong communication and partnership links with the University for effective collaboration.
