Mensah Sarbah Hall 60th Anniversary Planning Committee Inaugurated

Management of Mensah Sarbah Hall (MSH) has inaugurated a 19-member Committee to oversee preparations for the upcoming 60th celebration of the Hall. 

The planning committee is chaired by Dr. Stephen Mahama Braimah, Senior Lecturer, University of Ghana Business School, while Mrs. Dedo Difie Agyarko-Kusi, alumna and Ghana's former Ambassador to South Korea is the Deputy Chairperson. 

In brief remarks during the inauguration, Dr. Braimah Mahama assured the gathering of the Committee’s commitment to delivering a wonderful anniversary celebration for alumni and members of the Hall. 

He expressed profound excitement at the opportunity to chair the Planning Committee, especially as the anniversary is being celebrated during a period where history has been made by the Hall, with the first female Vice-Chancellor being an alumna of the Mensah Sarbah Hall. 

Prof. Charity Akotia, Most Senior Fellow of the Hall, who inaugurated the Committee, noted with excitement the beautiful composition of diverse individuals as members of the Committee. She therefore expressed her belief in the ability of the Committee to do a great job. 

The other members of the Committee are Prof. Josephine Dzahene-Quarshie (School of Languages); Mrs. Elizier Ameyaw-Buronyah (Director of Public Affairs); Dr. Sarah Dorgbadzi (Head, Department of Theatre Arts); Dr. Yvonne Agbetsoamedo (Deputy Senior Tutor, MSH and Senior Lecturer, Department of Linguistics); Dr. Dora Neina (Department of Soil Science); Dr. Lily Yarney (University of Ghana Business School); Dr. Theodora Dame Adjin-Tettey (Department of Communication Studies); Mr. Godfred Amoah (President of the Senior Common Room, MSH); Mr. Abraham Kwesi Kumado (Hall Bursar); Dr. Edem Emerald Sabah Welbeck (University of Ghana Business School); Dr. Cecelia Eliason (School of Nursing); Ms. Naomi Abla Bada (Librarian); Mr. Howard John Avornyo (Alumnus); Mr. Martin Awlime (Deputy Chief Hall Assistant); Mrs. Ruth Akua Wiredu (Secretary, Master’s Office); Ms. Alberta Esi Abban (JCR Representative) and Mr. Francis Tweneboah Kodua (JCR Representative). 

Present at the inauguration ceremony were Dr. Roger A. Atinga, Mensah Sarbah Hall Master; Dr. Daniel Darko, Senior Tutor, Mensah Sarbah Hall, staff of Mensah Sarbah Hall and invited guests.
