Level 100 Visually Impaired Students Receive Book Grant from Kimathi and Partners

Twenty (20) Level 100 visually impaired students of the University have benefited from Kimathi Kuenyehia Book Grant via a virtual ceremony held on Friday, August 6, 2021.

Mr. James Kofi Afedo, who delivered a speech on behalf of Kimathi and Partners indicated that it was a privilege for the firm to contribute to the Office of Students with Special Needs (OSSN). He assured the University and the students of the continued support of Kimathi and Partners in assisting the visually impaired students to achieve their academic potentials.

Dr. Awo Mana Asiedu, Guest Speaker and immediate past Co-ordinator (OSSN) expressed appreciation to Kimathi and Partners for consistently providing book grant worth Gh¢1,000 to all Level 100 visually impaired students for the past four years. She exhorted the recipients to consider the grants as the roadmap for their studies and success. Dr. Asiedu seized the opportunity to express immeasurable gratitude to the University and staff of the OSSN for the support she received during her tenure as Co-ordinator for the past six years.

Dr. Efua Mantey Agyire-Tettey, Co-ordinator of OSSN also expressed gratitude to Kimathi and Partners for the kind gesture. She presented the cheques to the beneficiaries on behalf of the benefactor and later moved the vote of thanks.

Princess Mensah, one of the recipients of the grant, reiterated the sentiments of earlier speakers in expressing appreciation for the donation and called on the beneficiaries to excel in their studies.

The grant covers expenditure on books and other reading materials of the beneficiaries throughout their study.
