International Federation of Theatre Research (IFTR) Publishes Reflective Paper by Theatre Arts Final Year Students on the Impact of COVID-19

A reflective paper titled “The Last Theatre: 2019/2020” submitted by three final year students of the Department of Theatre Arts, School of Performing Arts, majoring in Directing has been published by the International Federation of Theatre Research (IFTR). This was in response to a call from the Federation for submissions on the impact of COVID-19 on Theatre.

The paper put together by Kobina Hagan, Kelvin Swanzy Menlah and Elorm Nudanu under the supervision of the Directing Lecturer, Dr. Sarah Dorgbadzi, reflected how the pandemic COVID-19 had impacted their project work as aspiring Theatre Directors.

The International Federation for Theatre Research exists to facilitate communication and exchange between scholars of theatre and performance research throughout the world through its conference events and publishing activities. Founded in 1957, the Federation currently has members across 44 countries, from all continents. It holds annual international conferences, regional conferences, and research working group symposia and owns a leading international journal - Theatre Research International.
