IESS To Release A Bibliography On Ecosystem Approaches For Free Public Online Access On World Environment Day, 5th June 2015

The Institute for Environment and Sanitation Studies (IESS) releases a free online version of an Annotated Bibliography on Ecosystem Approaches as part of activities to mark this year’s World Environment Day 5th June 2015.

Prepared as part of the Environmental Science Doctoral programme of IESS, the annotated bibliography is designed to give students and researchers a comprehensive overview of publications regarding the ecosystem approach to environmental management. The 260 page bibliography spans the period between 2000 and 2014, and covers over 700 research articles, papers, books and reports that discuss ecosystem approach on topics ranging from general ecosystem theory, implementation of the approach in various ecosystems and its application in real world studies. The Bibliography is complementary to a book being prepared by IESS for the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) on Graduate-level curricular guidance for development of courses on Ecosystem Based Climate Change Adaptation.
