The Board and Management of the Internal Audit Agency (IAA) has awarded the immediate past Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Ebenezer Oduro Owusu, as the nation’s “Best Head of Covered Entity that Supports Internal Audit Unit (IAU), 2020 (MDA-CATEGORY)”.
This maiden initiative by the Agency is an achievement award for the year 2020, and is based on the Internal Audit Directorate’s (IAD) nomination in July 2021 using the following criteria from the IAA:
• Logistics available to the Internal Audit Directorate to enable it deliver on its mandate objectively and independently.
• Establishment of Functional Audit Committee.
• Timely Discussion and Implementation of Audit Recommendations.
• Establishment of Risk Management Office.
The award was presented on Thursday, 12th August 2021 during the Annual Internal Audit Conference which took place at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).
