In his opening address, Prof. Ebenezer Oduro Owusu, Vice-Chancellor, who chaired the event,  expressed gratitude to the Provost, Prof. Daniel Asiedu for not relenting in the drawing up of  a Strategic Plan for the College. He indicated that strategic plans serve as a guide and also provide direction for an institution. The Strategic Plan of a unit of the University he noted, has to be in line with the main Strategic Plans of the University of Ghana to ensure the achievement of the institutional goals and also help move the University forward.

In advocating adherence to processes and procedures, Prof. Ebenezer Oduro Owusu admonished the College to discharge its mandate in a manner that will not be detrimental to the University. Prof. Daniel Asiedu, Provost of the College in presenting the Strategic Plan echoed that the plan was designed in line with the University’s Strategic Plan and based on the “Strength, Weakness, Opportunity and Threat” (SWOT) analysis.
