Acting Vice-Chancellor receives UTAG-UG Delegation

On Thursday, August 26, 2021, a delegation from the Legon branch of the University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG-UG), led by their President, Dr. Samuel Nkumbaan, paid a courtesy call on the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Nana Aba Appiah Amfo. The purpose of their visit was to congratulate Prof. Amfo on her appointment as Acting Vice-Chancellor and also to assure her of the Association’s support.

In brief remarks, Dr. Samuel Nkumbaan, expressed gratitude to Prof. Amfo for receiving them in spite of her busy schedule, and presented the concerns of members to her.

In response, the Acting Vice-Chancellor acknowledged the critical role played by UTAG in achieving the mission and vision of the University. She further pledged to convey UTAG’s concerns to Management.

Present at the meeting were Dr. Samuel Kojo Kwofie, Vice President; Dr. Bethel Kwansa-Bentum, Secretary; Dr. Enid Owusu, Treasurer; Dr. Harry Agbanu, Dr. Patience Emefa Ocloo and Dr. Clement Appah, all of whom are UTAG-UG Executive Committee members. Others were Mrs. Elizier T. Ameyaw-Buronyah, Director, Public Affairs Directorate and Mrs. Arhizah Blay-Abiti, Senior Assistant Registrar, Office of the Acting Vice-Chancellor.
