The Academic Quality Assurance Unit of the University of Ghana Publishes its First Annual Report

The Academic Quality Assurance Unit (AQAU) has for the first time, published a comprehensive report of its activities. This first Annual Report spanned activities executed during the 2018/19 academic year under the AQAU’s five (5) main thematic areas: Evaluations, Monitoring, Academic Staff Training & Development, and Quality Audits & Surveys. 

According to the Director, Academic Quality Assurance Unit (AQAU), Prof. Dan Ofori, the AQAU Annual Report is a first attempt at providing a comprehensive one-stop shop of the AQAU's activities over an academic year. Its key objectives are to: inform UG-wide strategic policy making; provide input for strategy and policy implementation; and serve as a control function for operational actions at all levels of the UG production   chain in Colleges, Schools, Institutes, Centres, Stations and Units.

Quality Assurance is a regular and continuous feature of any productive activity. The AQAU intends to provide annually, timeous information from which data and intelligence can be extracted for decision making at all levels of the University.

Copies of the AQAU Annual Report for the 2018/19 academic year  have been distributed to all Heads of Units. A link to access the soft copy will soon be provided on the AQAU website.
