4,172 former students of the University of Ghana, have graduated during the November 2014 Congregation ceremonies. The ceremonies were held over two days, with each day comprising two sessions.
The first session saw 1,278 former students graduate from the School of Graduate Studies, among who were 23 PhD graduands. The Second session of the first day had students from the School of Biomedical and Allied Health Sciences, School of Public Health, School of Law and the School of Agriculture, graduate.
The graduands from the Bachelor of Arts programme, graduated during the morning and afternoon sessions of the second day, with graduands from the Bachelor of Fine Arts programmes joining the afternoon session.
The Graduation ceremonies were spiced with inspiring and thought-provoking words of admonition and advice from Guest Speakers, all alumni of the University of Ghana. Mr. Kobla Nyaletey, Ag, Treasurer and Head of CIB Markets at Barclays Bank Ghana was the Guest Speaker for the Morning session of the first day, while Miss. Brenda Semevo, Legal Affairs and Corporate Governance Officer of the Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa, (FARA), spoke at the afternoon session.
Graduands at the first session of the second day were addressed by Mr. Leslie Aruna Nelson, CEO of General Electric West Africa. Mr. Nana Dwemoh Benneh, Executive Director, Personal and Business Banking addressed the afternoon batch of graduands.

The morning Congregation ceremonies were presided over by the Chairman of the University Council, Hon. Justice Dr. S.K. Date-Bah, while a member of the University Council, Prof. J.M. Hyde, presided over the afternoon sessions.
