My research interest is in kaolin, refractory materials, steel and their mechanical properties, corrosion of wet environment, welding of ferrous, non-ferrous and dissimilar materials, foundry technology of sand casting, heat treatment of steels, failure analysis of metals, polymers and welding metallurgy.
On-going research projects:
1. Using polyethylene as reinforcement in pavement bricks.
2. Comparison between gas tungsten arc welding, gas metal arc welding and shielded metal arc welding processes.
3. Solidification cracking susceptibility of unstabilized and stabilized ferritic stainless steels.
4. Welding of copper and steel using shielded metal arc welding.
5. Stress corrosion cracking of unstabilized and stabilized austenitic stainless steels
