The course aims at equipping students with social and scientific issues relating to aquatic health. This includes all aquatic environments. Topics to be treated cover Factors affecting aquatic health; Pollution and environmental toxicology; Impacts of development projects on aquatic systems; Regulations, assessment and management of aquatic systems; Monitoring impacts on aquatic ecosystems; Bacteriological indicators; and Detecting changes in aquatic systems.
