General principle of feed formulation, Different steps of feed formulation, classification of feed ingredients: energy source and protein source. Evaluations of ingredients quality, Methods of feed formulation: Pearson’s method, quadratic equation linear programming, limitations. Types of feed:  Dry (pellets, flakes, powdered, micro-encapsulated, micro-bound and microcoated diets) and non-dry; Feed manufacturing units and processes: Pulverizer, grinder, mixer, pelletizer, crumbler, drier, Extruder/ Expander, Vacuum coater, fat spryer.
