Fundamentals of fish nutrition. Classification of fish food (carbohydrates, protein, lipids, minerals, vitamins, energy). Nutritional requirements of fin and shellfish. Fish bioenergetics. General principle of feed formulation, Different steps of feed formulation, classification of feed ingredients: energy source and protein source. Evaluations of ingredients quality, Methods of feed formulation: Pearson’s method, quadratic equation linear programming, limitations. Types of feed:  Dry (pellets, flakes, powdered, micro-encapsulated, micro-bound and microcoated diets) and non-dry; Feed manufacturing units and processes: Pulverizer, grinder, mixer, pelletizer, crumbler, drier, Extruder/ Expander, Vacuum coater, fat spryer.
