The purpose of this course is to equip students with the ability to examine aspects of word, phrase and sentence meanings within specific semantic theories. Thus, a few selected topics such as truth conditions, reference, thematic roles, lexical relations, prototypes and image schema will be explored in detail within specific semantic frameworks.
