The course will delve into linguistic theories that relate to some aspects of the lexicon, morphology, syntax and semantics of the Ghanaian languages; Topics include compounding, relativisation, reflexivisation, serial verb construction, tense, mood and aspect, thematic roles, sense relations: synonymy, antonymy, metonymy, metaphor, polysemy and body part expressions.
