Professor Olivia Anku-Tsede is the Legal Counsel of the University of Ghana. She is a Notary Public and a Lawyer of more than 24 years standing at the bar with expertise in regulatory regimes, transaction audits, corporate commercial, properties, financial security, insurance, policy development, compliance, organisational and legal risk management, as well as transaction advisory services and enterprise development. Prof. Anku-Tsede is also an Associate Professor at the Department of Organization & Human resource Management at the University of Ghana Business School. She is also the founder of Clirt Institute, a charitable organisation that supports the aged, youth and needy children in their education.

She holds a Ph.D in Law (Financial & Investment Regulatory Regimes) from the University of Manchester School of Law, UK, Professional Law Certificate, (B.L.) from the Ghana School of Law, Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Ghana and a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Business Management for Higher Education from the General Teaching Council of Scotland, UK. She is licensed by the National Pensions Regulatory Authority (NPRA) as an Independent Trustee for pension funds.

Prof. Anku-Tsede has worked in various leadership and challenging technical capacities, including being a lead advisor to a number of local and international commercial, corporate and financial transactions, as well as pension funds management. She has also led a number of multi-disciplinary experts in undertaking various cross border and national transaction audits, as well as various research and training teams in providing cutting edge training and investigating pertinent issues. She led the team that researched into and facilitated the establishment of the Gold Fund, one of the first unit trust schemes in Ghana. She also led a team of experts that developed microfinance and enterprise development policies for an international organisation as well as human resource policies for various national and international organisations. As a team leader she has led a number of legal associates and experts in litigation, arbitration, mediation and negotiations in Ghana and other jurisdictions, including Kenya, the United Kingdom and the United States.

She worked as an Associate at Akuffo-Addo, Prempeh & Co., Awoonor Law Consultancy and as a Consultant at Zoe Lexfields. She also worked as a consulting fund manager for pension, provident and other funds as well as legal advisor to a number of private, public and charitable organizations. Prof. Anku-Tsede has served as a board member of a number of public and private organizations as well as an elected Board member of the Ghana-German Economic Association (GGEA) for the period ending November 2019. She is an external Examiner for the Professional Law Course for the Ghana School of Law.

She has published extensively in a number of top international journals in areas including regulation, employment relations, institutional design, financial markets, legal risk management, business law,

regulatory regimes, organisations, business management, public policy and social change. Prof. Anku-Tsede is an Adjunct fellow of the Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA), a fellow of the Institute of Risk Management Professionals Ghana (IRMPG), an Associate of Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, UK (CIArb), a member of the Ghana Bar Association, the International Bar Association (IBA), Commonwealth lawyers Association (CLA), the General Teaching Council of Scotland (GTC Scotland), the Socio-Legal Studies Association, UK (SLSA), Law and Society Association, USA (LSA), Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), International Society for Development and Sustainability (ISDS) and Africa  Academy of Management (AFAM).
