Ms. Mabel Ama Pinkrah has worked with University of Ghana for over a decade and is currently the Assistant Registrar at the Office of the Legal Counsel and also serves as the Secretary to the University of Ghana Anti-Sexual Harassment Committee.

Prior to her appointment as Assistant Registrar, she was the Administrator and a Principal Research Assistant at the Centre for Gender Studies and Advocacy (CEGENSA).

Before working with CEGENSA, she was a Senior Research Assistant for the Development and Women's Studies Unit, (DAWS) at the Institute of African Studies which was later co-opted into CEGENSA.

She is currently focused on providing support to the Legal Counsel in ensuring that OLC becomes the model Legal Counsel Office for Universities in Ghana and beyond.

She is very interested in furthering the rights of women in Ghana, and this is reflected in her work experiences and several research projects she’s been a part of. Her current research interest is in Leadership and Sexual Harassment. She did a study in 2015 to understand Sexual Harassment among Senior Staff of University of Ghana.

She was also among the first cohort of the Ghanaian Women’s Social Leadership Program (GWSLP) which is a one-year program at New York University, which aims to strengthen the capacity of Ghanaian mid-career women as leaders in healthcare, education and civil society.

She graduated from the University of Ghana with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (Major) and Political Science (minor). She holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Organization Development, a Masters in Organization Development both from University of Cape Coast and an MBA in Human Resource Management from the University of Ghana. She also has a certificate in Project Planning and Management at Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration.
