Request for Agreements for Goods, Works & Service

Dear all,

The Office of Legal Counsel (OLC) wishes to inform the University Community that all requests for draft or review of Agreements, including but not limited to commercial and non-commercial agreements, should be delivered to the OLC in the following manner:

  1.  Incorporated Companies - request with copies of incorporation documents and an extract of the company’s profile.
  2. Registered Business - request with registration documents and business profile.
  3. Individual Consultant(s) - request with curriculum vitae and educational or professional certificates, where applicable, and a national ID.
  4.  This is to enable the OLC to conduct relevant legal due diligence prior to the execution of the Agreement.

The University Community is encouraged to refer to Policy No. 2200 on Transaction Procedure and Signatory Mandate Guideline on pages 116 to 127 and the Signatory Mandate from page 127 to 129 of the Financial Regulations and Governance Policy, 2020 (Policy No. 937), as amended, for rules governing transactions in the University.

The University Community is also encouraged to continue to send all requests for advice, legal opinions, drafting and review of agreements in soft form (word format) with scanned supporting documents to legalcounsel@ug.edu.gh with a copy to legalcounsel.olc@ug.edu.gh.
