IAST Exhibition

As part of the UG 70th anniversary celebrations, the Institute of Applied Science and Technology organized an industry exhibition day on the 17th of October, 2018. The exhibition created the platform for entrepreneurs and some industries to display products, services and technologies made locally to the University community.  The exhibition which attracted key participants from small, medium and large scale businesses, the university community, development partners and media was held at the University’s recreational quadrangle.

During the opening, Prof. George Oduro Nkansah stated that the key mandate of the Institute is to facilitate engagements between the University and Industry. He stated that the exhibition was organized to let entrepreneurs and industries come and display their goods and products. He added that the exhibition is not only for commercial purposes but will also serve as an influential platform for companies and industry experts to share information with the public and build business relationships. In his concluding remarks, he stated that the exhibition has been widely advertised to the University community and was hopeful that it would be successful and provide an opportunity for learning.

During the exhibition, a wide range of products were displayed from the following sectors; Automobile, IT, Electronic, Medical, Food, Pharmaceutical and Clothing.
