Call For Interns

INDUSTRIAL INTERNSHIP 2018 AGI-UG-IAST COLLABORATION

The Institute of Applied Science and Technology (IAST), University of Ghana, in collaboration with the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI) seeks to train students through its student, industry partnership programme (SIPP). SIPP is one of the Institute’s flagship programmes that seeks to promote strategic partnerships between the University and its external partners through strengthening the relationship with its undergraduate and post graduate students and industry.

The (AGI) is a voluntary business association with over 1200 members, made up of small, medium and large-scale manufacturing and service industries in agro-processing (food and beverages), agri-business, pharmaceuticals, electronics and electrical, telecommunications, information technology, utilities, service industries, transport, construction, textiles, garments and leather, banking and advertising. The Institute has received approval to identify potential interns for the 2018 internship programme.

 

QUALIFICATION: Undergraduate Students with knowledge in research methods, with the ability to work with Microsoft office suite, and the internet. Students from the following schools of the University of Ghana may apply.

School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences
School of Pharmacy School of Biological Sciences
School of Engineering Sciences
School of Agriculture
University of Ghana Business School
School of Information & Communication Studies

Note: Potential Candidates must possess good communication skills, good interpersonal skills and must be respectful, dedicated, and reliable.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:
To undertake a short-term assignment for AGI
To collect data for compilation of AGI member profiles
