About
Dr Danladi Abah obtained his MA and PhD degrees in History from Benue State University, Makurdi and a BA in History and International Studies from Kogi State University, Anyigba, Nigeria. A multiple award-winning researcher, Dr Abah has published in journals and book collectives, including three co-edited books. He was twice a Laureate of the Council for the Development of Social Science Research in Africa (CODESRIA) and a 2017 Ford and Rockdale Foundations-sponsored Research Fellow at the West Africa Civil Society Institute, Accra, Ghana. He was a 2022 Visiting Guest Research Fellow at Leibniz-Zentrum Moderner Orient (ZMO), Berlin, Germany and a 2023 A.G. Leventis Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Centre for African Studies, School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, UK. He was recently a 2025 DAAD Teaching Fellow at the Institute of History, Paderborn University, Germany. His research interests straddle Economic History, Tax, Gender, Development and Conflict studies. Dr Abah is a Research Associate of the African Centre for International Trade and Development. He is a member of the African Studies Association (ASA: USA), International Society for Third Sector Research (ISTR), Lagos Studies Association (LSA) and Society for Peace Studies and Practice (SPSP).
