Bachelor of Science (B. Sc.) in Family and Consumer Sciences
The B.Sc. programme is a four (4) year programme. Applicants select from two main options: Family and Child Studies option or Foods and Clothing Option. Three categories of applicants are considered for admission to the B.Sc. Family and Consumer Sciences Programme:
i. Holders of Senior High School Certificates or its equivalent

Family and Child Studies Option
Applicants for this option must have credit (C) passes in these courses:
Core courses: English, Core Mathematics, Integrated Science and Social Studies
Electives: Home Economics/Science students: Management – in - Living and any two electives (e.g. Food and Nutrition, Textiles and Clothing, General Knowledge in Art, Biology or Chemistry).

General Art students must have Credit (C) passes in any other three elective courses except Languages and Visual Arts.

Foods and Clothing Option
Applicants for this option must have at least Credit (C) passes in these courses:
Core courses: English, Core Mathematics, Integrated Science and Social Studies.
 Electives: Home Economics/Science students with at least Credit (C) in Chemistry are eligible to apply for this option.
 Science students must have at least Credit (C) passes in Chemistry and any two electives in the Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Elective Mathematics etc).

i. Matured students
Matured applicants must satisfy the general University requirements for admission of matured students.

ii. Holders of  Diploma in Home Science or its equivalent
Diploma holders with at least a B+ grade in the following areas: Foods and Nutrition, Textiles and Clothing, Family Resource Management and Human Development are eligible to apply.
