Great Hall, 2:00 p.m. - 4.30 p.m. (Procession starts at 1.45 p.m.)

Accordingly, students who completed their programmes from the named Colleges/School and who wish to be presented during the November, 2019, congregation ceremonies are required to take note of the following:

  1. Ensure that all outstanding financial obligations to the university have been fulfilled.
  1. Register from Thursday, October 31, 2019.  End of payment for registration is midnight, Tuesday November 12, 2019.  
  2. Graduands are required to pay GH¢250.00 at any branch of Ecobank, or Online using Visa/MasterCard/Mobile Money and proceed to their designated collection points for their graduation gown, invitation cards for graduand and two guests.  Graduate students will collect their graduation gown and invitation cards from the School of Graduate Studies from Thursday October 31, 2019 from 8.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
  1. All graduands will be provided with University souvenirs in the form of neckties for males and scarves for females at registration, which they are encouraged to use on the day.
  2. Those to be presented should come along with their invitation cards and ensure that their two guests bring their cards as well. Admission is strictly by invitation.
  3. Graduands are expected to be seated in the Great Hall/Cedi Conference Centre in the academic gown appropriate to their degrees, worn preferably over a suit/jacket with tie, or other suitable dress.

Please Note:        

To avoid traffic congestion on the Congregation days:

  1. All entry and exit points to/from the University of Ghana will be opened to the public.
  2. The general public is advised to use alternative routes if they do not have any immediate business on the Legon Campus
  3. To avoid the heavy vehicular congestion, only vehicles of guests with embossed permits on their invitation cards will be allowed to drive towards the Great Hall/ Cedi Conference Centre and park their vehicles at the designated parking spaces.

Shuttle services will be provided for graduands, guests and the public:

  1. Graduands and their two guests with embossed shuttle pass permits affixed on their invitation cards may enjoy a free return ride on the shuttle vehicles upon showing their invitation cards.
  1. All other vehicles will be directed to designated parking spaces away from the Great Hall and the Cedi Conference Centre.  Other commuters may also join the free shuttle buses provided at these parking spaces.

The designated Parking Spaces are:

  1. The lawn opposite the Legon Mosque/Republic Bank
  2. The lawn adjacent International House/opposite the School of Law
  3. The lawn behind the University Guest Centre
