DEPARTMENT OF DISTANCE EDUCATION HOLDS COURSE DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP FOR FACULTY

In line with the introduction of innovative learning approaches for students, a workshop centred on the development of courses for students has been held for faculty members from various Departments under the Distance Education (DE) Programme. The workshop which was organized by the Department of Distance Education in September 2023, was an avenue for faculty members and management to interact and share their views on enhancing the teaching and learning processes for Distance Education students.

7th COE Inter-College Lecture Focuses on Visually Impaired and Online Learning

The College of Education recently held its 7th inter-college lecture series, which focused on understanding how visually impaired individuals in Ghana and Egypt have coped with and continue to handle online learning.

The lecture was delivered by Prof. Samuel Amponsah, an Associate Professor at the School of Continuing and Distance Education and Head of Department for the Department of Distance Education at Smart Classroom (SCDE) of the School.

Department of Distance Education Organizes Tutor Training Workshop

The Department of Distance Education, School of Continuing and Distance Education (SCDE) has organized a three-day tutor training workshop for tutors and lecturers from the various University of Ghana Learning Centres. The workshop was to equip participants with the skills essential to the successful implementation of the eLearning Programme.

2,534 Graduate At UG March 2014 Congregation

A total of 2,534 former students of the University of Ghana, have graduated at the March 2014 graduation ceremonies held at the weekend.

News Release: UG Launches Collegiate System

The University of Ghana has officially inaugurated its Collegiate System. The University has adopted a decentralized system of administration from the 2014/2015 academic year. The new Colleges created under the collegiate system of administration are the College of Health Sciences headed by a Provost, Prof. Yao Tettey, the College of Humanities headed by Prof. Samuel Agyei- Mensah, the College of Education headed by Rev. Prof. Cephas Omenyo and the College of Basic and Applied Sciences, headed by an Acting Provost Prof. S.K.
